LAND Trust Plan 2017-2018

The School LAND Trust Program supports the goals of our school and this program helps our students attain their individual goals. The bill created the School LAND Trust Program. It directed the interest from the permanent State School Fund, which had grown to $333 million by the end of fiscal year 1999, to be distributed directly to each school in the state through a per pupil formula. The School LAND Trust Program, established by the legislature in 1999, distributes the “annual dividend” from the permanent State School Fund through school districts and charter school for all public schools in the state.  Elected parents, elected teachers and the school’s principal serve on the Community Councils.  The Councils in each school prepare a plan to address the school’s greatest academic need.  Local school boards approve the plans and funding is sent to each school with an approved plan before the school year begins.  The council for the 2017-2018 includes the following members:

The council will be meeting @ 3:45 on the following dates: 

Oct. 25th @ 3:45

Jan. 24th @ 3:45

Mar. 28th @ 3:45

The goal for 2016-2017 was to improve reading comprehension & reading fluency, math skills and to provide collaboration time for all teachers.  We received $36,083 for the school and the funds were used to purchase the following:

  • An aide time to work with students on reading skills.
  • An aide to work with students on math skills.
  • An aide to teach technology sessions.
  • Aides to teach FAME (Fine Arts Mini Experience) to allow teachers collaborative team time.
  • Team of teachers attending PLC (Professional Learning Community) Conference
