H. Guy Child Elementary is located in the city of South Ogden, Utah. It is named after Henry Guy Child who served as the first mayor of South Ogden and who also served on the Weber School District Board of Education.
The school was constructed in 1965 with an additional wing being added on in 1978. It serves the residents of South Ogden who live south of Highway 89 and also the residents of lower Uintah. It is part of the Weber School District and includes grades K-6.
The population of the school is approximately 510 with 50 full and part-time staff members.
