Community Council Meeting Minutes November 21, 2024

November 21, 2024

 

Roles:

Chair: Mandee Wheeler (absent due to illness)

Vice Chair: Sara Lleverino

Secretary: Celeste Drake

Attendance:

 Sariah Long, Sarah Lleverino, DiAnna DeGroot, Delene Butler, Celeste Drake, Chance Adams. Mandee Wheeler & Dawnese Mitchell absent due to illness.

Agenda Items:

  1. Welcome -  Sarah Lleverino welcomed all members.



  1. Minutes Approval - Celeste Drake reviewed the last meeting minutes. Sarah Lleverino voted to approve the minutes. Delene Butler seconed the motion. All members present approved the minutes.



  1. Set Up Remind - Mr. Adams

  1. Review of 2023-2024 Plan Data - Mr. Adams 

Mr. Adams reviewed Acadienc Reading Growth Goals for the last few years, comparing the school, district & state percentages. Our school did not meet the goal last year of 66% of students achieving typical/above growth according to pathways of progress. Mr. Adams discussed some goals to include more parent support in practicing reading fluency.

Math proficiency rates were also discussed, comparing RISE testing for grades 3-6, and Acadience Math Assessments for grades K-2. Our school RISE data did not meet our yearly goal of improving 2% points.

This data will be used to help make new goals for this year, and try to align with the Weber School District Elevate 28 four year plan for academics.

 

  1. Plan Next Agenda - Mr. Adams

February 13 meeting needs to be changed to February 20, 2025, due to Mr. Adams being out of town for a principal's meeting.

  1. Miscellaneous - Council Members 

DiAnna DeGroot asked about the training emails that had been sent out. All members have completed the training.

 


Sarah Lleverino motioned to dismiss the meeting. DiAnna DeGroot seconded the motion. All members voted to dismiss the meeting.

Next meeting will be on January 16, 2025 at 3:35pm in the Library
