Our first grade was able to attend a field trip at the Treehouse Museum on February 20th. We had so much fun. We learned about seasons and we looked for animal tracks in the mud. In the craft room we had the opportunity to make little bears out of modeling clay. We had a lot of parent help and the kids had so much fun! We love the Treehouse!

Our Charger Students are officially halfway through the school year! To mark the occasion, 2nd Grade students participated in hands-on fraction activities, learning how parts make a whole. It’s been incredible to watch their growth since August, and we can’t wait to see what they accomplish in the second half of the year!

Stop and say hello! Ashley Remkes is officially a Charger! ⚡️ She brings 17 years of teaching excellence to our school. Known for her leadership skills and her kind spirit, she is ready to make this the best year yet for our 6th Graders!

After many years of dedication, inspiration, and countless smiles, our wonderful Mrs. Butler is retiring. From sparking a love of learning to being a steady hand in our hallways, she has left an unforgettable mark on H. Guy Child Elementary, especially in the 6th grade.
Mrs. Butler, thank you for pouring your heart into our students. While we will miss you dearly, we are so excited for your next great adventure! 🥂📚

Our 6th-grade Chargers took over the courtroom this past Friday for the trial of the century: The State of Utah vs. The Grinch. 🎄
Our students played the roles of lawyers, witnesses, and the jury to decide if the Grinch truly "stole" Christmas. After hearing all the testimony and reviewing the evidence, the jury has reached a verdict... NOT GUILTY! 👨⚖️✅
It looks like the Grinch is free to return to Mt. Crumpit just in time for the holidays. We are so proud of our 6th graders for their sharp critical thinking and persuasive speaking skills!

Our amazing 3rd graders rolled up their sleeves and built the cutest little gingerbread houses you’ve ever seen! From candy cane fences to gumdrop rooftops, their creativity (and maybe a little frosting on their noses) was on full display.
We love watching their imaginations come to life—one sugary masterpiece at a time! THANK YOU to all of the grown ups that helped us make this activity happen!
