Our 2nd Grade Chargers had a wild time at the Hogle Zoo! 🦒 From lions to leopards, our students were busy discovering new animals and learning all about their habitats. It was the perfect real-world lesson on science and nature! Ask your second grader which animal was their favorite! 🐾

Let’s take a moment to THANK all the amazing people who help keep our students safe every day — especially our awesome school bus drivers and dedicated crossing guards! 💛🛑👮♀️
The greatest risk for our Chargers is approaching or leaving the bus. Help your student stay safe in the "Danger Zone" by practicing this rule:
Stand 5 giant steps back from the curb while waiting for the bus, and always walk at least 5 giant steps in front of the bus when crossing the street. This makes sure the driver can see you! 👀

Kindergarten Spotlight! We were so excited to take a field trip to the Ogden Nature Center. We went exploring for insects, made a food web and learned about predators and prey. We got to see native plants and animals and wander the grounds of the Nature Center. It was a lot of fun and a beautiful day to explore.
Today we're giving a huge Charger Shout-out to our amazing lunch workers! 🍎🥪 They do so much more than just serve food—they prepare delicious, nutritious meals every day with care and a smile. Fueling our students for learning is a HUGE job, and they nail it! Thank you for all your hard work and dedication.

We're offering coats and take-home, gallon-sized food packets to any H. Guy Child student in need! We believe in warming hearts and bellies in our community.
If you would like your student to receive a coat and/or a food packet, please go to hguychild.wsd.net and click on "Parents" on the menu. Click on "Coats & Food Packets" to fill out the request form.
